The excellent 2020 vintage has won several
gold awards. It has ripe and juicy black fruit
aromas on the nose, with great intensity and
power. On the palate, the structure is well
balanced with ripe black fruit flavours of
cherry, plum, blackcurrant and mulberry.
This power and concentration are achieved
by using the passito method. Grapes are
partially dried in wooden drying trays for six
months after harvest, using this traditional
winemaking process used in the north of
Italy. Its complexity is also enhanced by
aging in French oak barrels for 6 months.
